Sept. 15th SLSC Volunteer Opportunity: International Coastal Clean Up Day at Peck's Lake
SLSC is joining the Coastal Cleanup of Martin County and we are assigned to do Peck Lake. I will have Skeeter available to take people to Peck Lake and can accommodate up to 8 people. As you know you can only get to Peck Lake Beach by boat. We go down the ICW and beach the boat, so it is easy to get to shore. A short trail through the mangroves gets us to the beach. Be prepared to be able to walk in the hot sand.
Bring your own drinks and snacks. The plan is that I will leave the Deck Marina at 10:00 AM. Anyone who wants a ride send Tom a confirmation with your phone number capttommes@aol.com.
We have other boats volunteering, Patricia & Jim Strutz-Beam are taking their power boat, Fred Faulkner with his sail boat and Mike Brescher is taking his Boston Whaler. If you are taking your sail boat and anchor, Mike can take the crew to shore.
