Cruise to Nettles Island -
Date: April 14 & 15 Skippers reserve slip at NI marina
Dinner at Sauder’s Landing at 7:30 on April 14.
Dinners limited to first 35 due to restaurant seating capacity.
We are planning an overnight cruise to Nettles Island on April 14th and 15th. For those who don't know, Nettles Island is located about one mile north of the Jensen Beach causeway on Hutchison Island. There is both a marina and a restaurant (Sauder's Landing) there so people can come by boat or car.
For those coming by boat you can reserve a slip at the marina for Saturday night by calling Ray or Jon at 772-260-8036. Mention that you are with the St Lucie Sailing Club. The entrance channel just north of ICW marker 215. For those driving, tell the guard at the entrance that you are going to Sauder's Landing and they will give you a pass.
Regardless of how you are arriving, you need to RSVP to Joe Sawyer (772-220-3445) or swyrjos@gmail.com by April 10th so I can give the restaurant a head count. The restaurant is relatively small so we need to limit diners to the first 35 who indicate they are coming. RSVPing is therefore essential. A signup sheet will be available at the April 2nd meeting.
This is the first time we've done this in awhile, so it will be a bit of an adventure. Bring your questions to the meeting on April 2nd.
Cheers, Joe Sawyer
