Who: SLSC members with any vessel that floats
What: Sail, Social, Sunset with the bonus of a full moon
Where: North Fork (around mark #5)
When: Wednesday, June 23rd (weather permitting)
5:00pm for a leisurely sail on your own
6:30-7:00 raft up west of mark #5
Biggest boat provides the anchor if Whisper is not there
Let’s be done rafting up by 7:00 to watch the show
When it comes to catching a sun setting and a full moon rising, timing is the key and it appears Wednesday’s times line up best.
Bring your coolers and hope for a nice, dry breeze!!
Sunset is at 8:18pm
Moonrise is at 7:29pm (by the time it clears the bridge could be 8:00)
Moon is 94% visible (close enough to full)
Tides – Low tide = 5:14pm / high tide = 11:09pm
We should have plenty of light for anyone interested in a night sail when we depart (as long as you remember where Marker#5 is – the unlit pole in the middle of the North Fork).
